About this reading layout
Source wording, punctuation, paragraph boundaries and supplied line breaks are retained. Long prose also has editorial reading breaks at sentence boundaries. Substantial passages already enclosed in double quotation marks are set apart; this does not identify their source or establish a connection.
These added breaks are reading aids, not claims about the original manuscript’s layout. Poetry is lineated only where the downloaded text supplies line breaks. References and edition notes remain with their text.
Chapter 12 — Codex III
5. ⟦page 21⟧ [... companion,]
6. [she] repented and wept [copiously], and the prayer [of her repentance] was hearkened to, and her brothers petitioned [for her],
7. and the holy unseen Spirit agreed and poured down a holy Spirit onto her from their Perfection, because the companion [descended] to rectify their deficiencies, [and] through Providence he granted him to rectify her deficiencies, and she was not [taken] to her aeon, but [owing to the ignorance] that had [emanated from her, she will dwell] in the Ninth [until she has rectified] her deficiency.
8. [A voice also] came to her: ‘The Man [exists and the] Son [of Man],’ but the [chief archon], Yaldabaoth, [overheard, but he knew not that] the voice originated [from on high].
9. He taught them, [specifically, the sacred], perfect [Primal Man]. The blessed one [made manifest] his appearance to them.
