2016 — 2020Field Service Engineer — Enterprise smart-glass. First on-site contact for enterprise smart-glass commissioning across the US, Canada, the UK, and the EU. Laptop and multimeter both — while coordinating glaziers, electricians, GCs, building managers, and the paying customer to the same hard deadline. After handoff: service calls on live sites and product demos for the sales team.
2008 — 2009Customer Service Engineer — Digital cinema. Field engineer through the cinema industry's switch from 35mm film to digital — commissioning, maintenance, 24/7/365 on-call. The only face the customer (and the union projectionist the tech was phasing out) ever saw. Left for the post-9/11 GI Bill and Columbia.
2003 — 2008Electronics Technician — U.S. Navy. Where the troubleshooting discipline started — make the things that have to work, work.
