Understand
The Lord gathers all nations in the valley of Josaphat to plead with them — they have scattered his people, divided his land, sold boys and girls for wine. Tyre, Sidon, and the coasts of the Greeks are named for the slave trade. Then the summons to war: 'Beat your ploughshares into swords, and your sickles into spears' — the harvest of judgment, the sun and moon darkened, the Lord roaring from Zion. And after judgment: the mountains dripping sweet wine, a fountain from the house of the Lord, and 'the Lord shall dwell in Sion.'
