Understand
With the wall closed but its gates not yet set, the enemies change tactics: four invitations to a 'conference' at the plain of Ono (an ambush), an open letter accusing Nehemiah of planning rebellion, a hired prophet urging him to hide in the temple, and a prophetess among the conspirators. Nehemiah refuses every trap, and the wall is finished in fifty-two days.
